From publishing on LinkedIn, I have moved to writing my thoughts on my blog.
There are a few reasons.
Publishing on the LinkedIn means, I must write on professional stuff only.
I don't want to talk about running, endurance, food, and other life related things.
I see people doing that all the time, and sharing personal things.
this makes LinkedIn feels like Facebook sometimes.
but I don't want to do that.
second, I want to be able to express freely.
writing on controversial topics, or things that I don't want to say openly on LinkedIn is a problem.
it is still a professional platform.
So, an honest opinion on a lot of topics are not a great match for LinkedIn.
third, I have not seen a lot of engagement. this is least of my worries though.
my goal was always to build a body of work on the internet.
LinkedIn partially helps me achieve that.
Instead building a writing engine on my blog is a lot more interesting to me.
The views may not be there.
but, google will take note when I write regularly, and publish content that is useful.
This is home.
